04. Borrowed View 2012 mdf nature Gudrun Nielsen FRBS.jpg

The work consists of one sculptural form, displayed on the Tamarama coast by the Tasman Sea.  A moment’s installation on the cliff that the sculpture sits on.  The installation refers to the Japanese expression „borrowed landscape“. A technique where vistas extend beyond a structure, into the distance. The windowed wall offers one “borrowed view“ the constantly changing sky and ocean plus the colourful cliffs of Tamarama. The sounds of nature complete the installation.

medium: mdf, scenery, sound (the ocean, wind, living creatures)
